Botanical Blooms - SAB

If you've received your Sale-A-Bration catalog you may find that this card looks very familiar.  I just love all of the samples!  I changed the colors a little and added a few more flowers to make it look better as a full size card, but other than that it's a total copy!  That's what makes the samples so great though.  We can recreate them!  I love the Delicate Dots pattern paper (one of the freebie's from SAB) and the hair pin from the pretties kit, the paper piercing, the Scallop Edge punch... it's all just so great!  All these little extras add so much to the card.

Polka Dot Punches - SAB

This is another one of the cute sets from the Sale-A-Bration (SAB) catalog that you can begin earning February 1st.  It's a super nice set because there is a punch for each of the four stamps in it.  No cutting - yay!  One of the punches is brand new in our current catalog.  I thought this would be a great Valentine's Day card, but you could also use a different saying and use it for a birthday card or a thank you card.  I've used two of the stamps from the set and layered them. The top layer is stamped in Regal Rose and punched out with the 1 1/4th circle punch and the bottom layer is stamped in Rose Red and punched out with the Scallop circle punch.  I also used that same stamp - using Pirouette Pink - to make the background.

Party Hearty - Pop Up Card

This was my card trade for stamp club.  These pop up cards are quite fun!  The colors  I used are Glorious Green (I'm so proud of myself once again), Pumpkin Pie and Pacific Point.  I wanted to use the star punch to make things go quicker so I used the star stamp from Nursery Necessities.  I used the small oval punch for the party hat and the 3/4" circle punch for the present.  To get the two colors on the 'b is for birthday' stamp I used markers.  The notch for the Pumpkin Striped Ribbon was punched with the 1/2" circle.  I really like this stamp set for boy birthday cards!  It's also very cute for girls, but I have a tough time coming up with boy cards - you all know that!

Flight of the Butterfly - Pop Up Card

We had a fun time at Stamp Club last night making this Pop Up Card.  I used the same cute butterfly set as I used on the burp rag.  The colors are Glorious Green (a color I never use - I challenged myself to give it a go) and Pink Pirouette.  LOVE how it turned out!  We punched out the little flower from the set with the Trio Flower punch, one at a time of course.  On the front of the card we used a dimensional to attach the flower and on the inside we used a folded over mini glue dot.  To make the pop up spiral on the inside of the card we punched a circle with the 1 3/4" circle punch and then just cut around and around.  We attached the spiral with tiny pieces of sticky strip on each end.  The small butterfly was stamped and then punched out with the 1" circle punch, then attached with a folded over glue dot like the little flowers. 

Stamped Burp Rag

I like to add a little color to burp rags (cloth diapers) to give as baby gifts.  I always say it makes spitting up fun!  For this burp rag I used the darling Flight of the Butterfly set.  I love the Two-Step stamping sets -- it's so easy to add color.  When I stamp on fabric I use the Craft ink pads, let it dry over night and then iron it to heat set the ink.  The colors I used are So Saffron, Lovely Lilac and Lavender Lace.  They match the front of the new catalog so nicely.  Be sure to take a look at it!  There are some great new accessories and stamp sets.
