Happy Father's Day Jake

Jake's away at a class for Father's Day but the kids and I hid a card and gift in his bag so that he could have a surprise to open.

Adri at Dinosnorzzz!

Adri got the chance to go to Dinosnorzzz at Thanksgiving Point last night.  It was sponsored by the military so Adri got to go for free.  They needed chaperone's, so Jake was able to go with her.  They got to watch a dinosaur movie, make dinosaur jaw origami, dig out fossils, made casts of dinosaur teeth, do 3D dinosaur puzzles and got to sleep in the dinosaur rooms.  Jake and Adri ended up in the T-rex room.  When they woke up they got to eat breakfast and then talk to a paleontologist.  They learned a lot and had a great time!

Daddy/Daughter Date

Adri got all dolled up Friday night and took her dad to the Achievement Days Daddy/Daughter Date.  The girls worked hard preparing for this night making decorations and planning games.  She had a ball and loved the contests like bubble gum blowing and hula hoop.  She couldn't figure out why all the girls had poodle's on their skirts (it was a 50's theme).  I felt bad that she didn't have a poodle skirt, but Grandma's was just a little too big!  Jake was a good sport and came down the canyon from the Scout Campout to take Adri and then he went back up after their date!  It made a good fun memory for Adri.

Adri 'patiently' waited for her dad to come down from scout camp to take her.  She only asked a dozen times when he was going to be here.  They were just a little late.  

Ahhh...finally time to go.  She did NOT want me to take this picture (she wanted to leave NOW), so I hurried and it's a little blurry.  Don't mind Adri's red eyes.  Some day I'll learn how to fix those!
