Holiday Blitz

I thought this card looked so fun and 'summery'.   I colored the flower from the Pretties Kit with an Aqua Painter and the Tempting Turquoise pad then attached it with a glue dot.  A very simple but cute card!

Muscles, Adri and Tori swimmin' with the fish!

Swimming lessons are done!  Adri and Tori had so much fun this year and did a great job with their lessons.  Their teacher took these fun underwater pictures. Justus also finished his Boy Scout swimming merit badge class. He's getting to be quite the muscle man!

Color Inspiration #17

My first color challenge! I had lots of fun making this cute baby card using the Nursery Necessities set. I used the rolling technique on the star by stamping in the Regal Rose first and then rolling the outside edge of the star in Rose Red.  The Rhinestone Brad is pink, but it's hard to tell in the scan.

Wow Flowers

I really like how this card turned out.  It's hard to see the Pink Pirouette Bella Rose paper, but it's gorgeous!   The Scallop Circle Punch adds a lot to the card.  On this card I punched it out of the Kiwi Kiss Bella Rose paper and then punched a hole on each scallop.  I used dimensionals on the back of the scallop so it pops out.

Wow Flowers

I've been having a little too much fun with my new paper and Wow Flowers set.  On this card I embossed the flower with white embossing powder on the Riding Hood Red Paper.  The cute gingham paper is from the Bella Rose Designer Series paper pack that will be in the new catalog August 11th.  I love the look of the Jumbo Eyelets!  I used dimensionals behind the 'thank you' piece.  This card was my husbands favorite!

Wow Flowers

These are the last 2 of the 6 new In-Colors to come out with the new catalog August 11th -- Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red.  I'm getting more and more excited to see that new catalog.  The designer paper you see here will also be new to the catalog.  It's called Bella Rose.  LOVE IT!

Wow Flowers

Two more of the new In-Colors available with the new catalog August 11th.  The blue is Baja Breeze and the orange is Tangerine Tango.  I've really had a lot of fun with this set.  It only has 4 stamps, but it's amazing how many different looks you can get.  On this card I stamped the Thank You stamp once in Baja Breeze and once in Tangerine Tango, then I used my circle punches to get a quick two colored look.

Tag ~ Unimportant Things

I've been tagged by Kari and asked to list 6 unimportant things about myself, so......

1.  I'd rather be home than on vacation anywhere, which really bugs my family, they would rather go, go, go!

2.  I have the urge to eat chocolate after every meal, even breakfast.

3.  I've always got a book nearby to read a quick page here and there.  I rarely have time to just sit and read for long periods of time, but it's sure nice when it happens.

4.  We've been going for walks as a family for about two weeks straight now.  Major accomplishment!

5.  I love to go out to eat with my friends, but it doesn't happen nearly enough.  (yes, this is a hint!)

6.  I hate messy houses, but I seem to always be living in one!  Maybe when the kids move away...

I'll tag Allie!

Wow Flowers

This is a sneak peak at one of the new stamp set for the Fall/Winter catalog that will come out on August 11th.  The colors are also new.  The blue is Pacific Point and the green is Kiwi Kiss.  LOVE THEM!  They are just two of the 6 new In Colors for this years catalogs.

Wanted

I wanted to make a 'guyish' card, so I chose the Wanted set and some guy colors; Sahara Sand, Really Rust and Chocolate Chip.  It's hard to tell in the scan, but the horse is stamped over and over without reinking the stamp to get a motion look.  I really like to use the Hodgepodge Hardware on my guy cards.  You can get the Hodgepodge Hardware at a discount while supplies last.  Check out the link on the right side of my blog.

Bugs and Kisses

I seem to always want to make flower cards, so I picked this stamp set because it wasn't flowery.  Although I did have to make it girly for some reason.  I used the rolling technique by stamping in So Saffron first and then rolling the outer edge of the stamp in Regal Rose.  This is a great and easy way to get multiple colors on your solid stamps.  I got the layout idea from page 163 of the catalog.

So Happy

I wanted to challenge myself a little and use the Color Coach, On Board and one of my newest stamp sets (yes, I'm sad that it's going to be discontinued!).  The colors are definitely not something I would come up with on my own, but it turned out okay.  I went to the Lovely Lilac on my Color Coach wheel and used the Sage Shadow, Perfect Plum and Summer Sun.  The On Board circle is from the Blossoms & Basics pack and I colored it with the Lovely Lilac Craft Pad.  The layout was taken from page 116.  Some day I might come up with my own layout, but copying something is so much easier on my brain!

Welcome to my blog!

I'm so excited to finally be a blogger!  I wanted to start this blog so I would have a place to share some of my stamped cards and also keep friends and family in touch with what's going on with my family.  I'm not sure how good I'll be about keeping up on the family part.  I'm terrible about taking pictures but much better about making cards!

Wonderful You

I got this layout from page 114 of the catalog.  Check it out!  I love to copy cards straight from the catalog and just change things here and there to make it my own.  If I don't have the stamp set that is used for the card I just substitute something else.
