Lovely As a Tree

I thought I would sneak in one more fall card before December arrives.  I've used the thumping technique with this stamp set a lot.  It gives the look of all colored fall leaves.  To start you first stamp the tree in a brown, I used Soft Suede.  Then I used markers and just thumped them right onto the stamp.  The markers I used are Cajun Craze, Always Artichoke and Early Espresso.  I used the Frostwood Lodge and Regals Collection paper.

Season of Joy

Once again, shadowy pictures, sorry!  This was my card trade for stamp club.  Once I started using the Mica flakes I got a little addicted.  They give your card a new fun look.  The colors are Not Quite Navy and Pool Party.  I love the Ruffled Ribbon in the New In Colors and also the Designer Printed Brads.

Lovely As a Tree

Sorry about the shadowy picture, I don't claim to be a great photographer! :)  This is the card that we made at stamp club last night.  The ladies really liked how it turned out.  First we stamped the tree in Garden Green. Then we used a two-way glue pen lightly all over the tree and then sprinkled Mica Flakes (from the Holiday Mini) all over the tree.  It gives such a pretty look that's similar to glitter, but so much thicker.  Very cool!  The paper is from the Frostwood Lodge designer series paper and the ribbon is the Cherry Cobbler Quilted Satin, both from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

Lovely As a Tree

For this card I stamped the trees in Early Espresso ink on Whisper White card stock. It's tied with the Early Espresso/White Baker's Twine and layered on paper from the Frostwood Lodge pack in the Holiday Mini.

Halloween!

Halloween started at my mom's annual party on Saturday.  All the grandkids dressed up and then we ate a spaghetti dinner and carved pumpkins.  The kids get more and more creative every year.

Adri and all of her friends decided to be clowns this year.  Adri was going for the 'scary' clown look, and I think she pulled it off.  From her scary make-up right down to her scary sock puppet - all done by herself.  Justus was a scary scarecrow - he made the costume by himself a couple of years ago. Tori was a teenager!

You can see all of the wonderful works of art.

Justus' pumpkin is on the left - a witch with a pointy nose.  Tori's pumpkin is in the middle and Adri's is on the right.  Justus's pumpkin was a hit with all of the kids, they loved the witch nose.

This is Adri before she headed of to school on Monday.  Once again she did her own make-up.

Here's the clown crew.  Raquel, Liberty, Adri, Rachel, Alyse.  They looked pretty cute walking through the school Halloween Parade
