Flight of the Butterfly

I got the color combination for this card from the Color Coach.  I love how bright and cheery it is.  The colors are Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight. Luckily I had buttons that looked good with each color.  So cute!

Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder

This is another card using the Double Embossing Technique.  I've used left over Sale-a-bration pattern paper along with the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder and white embossing powder.  This card also has a  homemade button using six layered 1/2" circles.

Elegant Lines Embossing Folder

This is the card we made at Stamp Club this past week.  It's hard to tell how cool it really is so I'll have to explain.  I taught them double embossing which involves inking the embossing folder with Versamark on the side that has the impression going in.  Then you turn your paper face down (we used hostess In Color pattern paper) and then run it through the Big Shot.  After that you apply your embossing powder - we used black - and then heat it with a embossing gun.  The results are way cool and the pictures don't show it.  I also showed them how to make homemade buttons by using 4 - 3/4" circles and 2 rings using the 1/2" circle punch first and then the 3/4" circle punch around it.  Once you've glued all of those together use the Crop-a-dile to punch your holes, lay the button on wax paper and cover it with crystal effects.  Let dry and you have a very cute button!

Apple Blossoms

I was so excited to try out my new 2 3/8" Scallop Punch -- this is the card I ended up with.  The colors are Pear Pizazz and Concord Crush.  I used the Hostess In Color Paper Pack, which has some really cute patterns!

Bugs & Kisses

This is a little 3X3 card I made for one of my Primary boy's birthday.  I thought it turned out cute, especially since summer's coming and what boy doesn't go bug hunting?  Instead of tying the ribbon in a regular knot I used string to tie it for a different look.

Elegant Lines

I've used some retired stuff for this card, but I love the way it turned out.  The Sale-a-bration set, Sweet Summer, had the perfect stamp to match the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder.  And the Vintage Labels make it easy to print whatever you want on the computer and then use the Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp it straight.

Tori's 14!!!

May 1st is a happy\sad day for our family.  Seven years ago on Tori's 7th birthday my dad passed away.  Yesterday we all got together as a family and had dinner and then went to the cemetery to remember grandpa.  My mom gave us all this cute picture of my dad - the way we all like to remember him with a big, wide grin and being just a little goofy wearing a cowboy hat that's too small. You can see why the grandkids absolutely adored him and miss him so much.  We all miss him!  After we went to the cemetery we came to our house to celebrate Tori's birthday and eat Oreo dessert.  YUM!

Tori wanted this cute little owl on her invitation and we even found a cute balloon with an owl and all of her fun colors.  Bright and cheery - love how it turned out.

Allie posed so cute for both Tori and Grandma Sorensen.  Grandma Lorae thought she was darling.
