Sunny Fun

I had a lot of fun coloring these cute little flip-flops!  This is a set from the Summer Mini Catalog and can be ordered through the end of August. Tomorrow is the unveiling of the NEW Stampin' Up! Catalog.  WooHoo!

Sunny Fun

This is such a cute little set from the Summer Mini Catalog.  All I've done is emboss the popsicles and ice cream with the Tangerine Tango embossing powder, also from the mini.  They would also look really cute colored in, but I wanted to try out the new embossing powder.  It's got a great texture and heats really well.  This set will be available until the end of June.  Our new catalog comes out July 1st!  I've actually already seen it and it's awesome as usual!!!

Flower Garden Embossing Folder

I was finally able to try out this cool new embossing folder!  Love it!  I embossed the flowers on Regal Rose paper and then did direct to paper with the Melon Mambo pad (after tearing around the edge) to make the flowers really stand out.  For the background I did a technique that one of my customers taught me.  First I punched out a bunch of little circles from Regal Rose pattern paper, then I glued those onto Melon Mambo paper.  Next just run it through the Big Shot using a folder with lots of detail.  I used the Square Lattice embossing folder.  The result is such a cool look!  Thanks Susan for sharing! :)

For All You Do

Another idea for 'kissing' stamps.  For the flowers I first stamped them in So Saffron and then the 'square' flowers were stamped in Pear Pizzazz.  Next you stamp the flower stamp directly onto the 'square' flower stamp and you get a really cool 'kissed' look!

For All You Do

At club the other night I wanted to show everyone the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch.  This is the card we made.  I also taught them how to 'kiss' a stamp.  The colors we used are Poppy Parade, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz.  We all had fun 'building' our flowers.  There are actually quite a few different looks you can come up with using the triple punch along with some single punches.  To get the look we did on the butterfly you first stamp the butterfly in So Saffron and then the polka dot stamp in Poppy Parade.  Next you stamp the butterfly directly onto the polka dots and them stamp it on your card.  So easy, yet so cool!

Birthday Bliss

This is a cute little set that has 4 stamps and it's on the discontinued list.  If it's one you would like, it can be ordered until June 30th.  The colors I've used are Real Red, Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight. Definitely a quick and simple card!

Blossom Bouquet Punch

This Triple Layer Punch from the Summer Mini Catalog is pretty dang cool!  I'm really liking having 3 punches in one.  What a great idea!  This is the first card I've made using the punch and I needed to use specific colors since I was making it for a bridal shower and her colors are teal and yellow.  So I dug through my discontinued colors.  Speaking of discontinued, the lists are out!  I've used the Sanded stamp for my background and sadly it's on the discontinued list.  You can order from the list through June 30th.

New Toy for Adri

We came across this puppy in kind of a weird way.  We were at a party and one of Jake's friends heard we had kitten's and wanted to know if we would trade a kitten for a puppy.  UGH!  I was all against it, but the rest of the family wanted another dog.  Obviously I lost.  But he is such a cute mellow little thing you can't help but love him.  He was kind of sad the first couple of days and Adri had to sleep on the kitchen floor with him, but now he's doing great.  I also forgot to mention that they ended up taking 2 kittens, so it was a great deal!

Jasper and Chance, as the new puppy has come to be known, are finally getting along.  It took Jasper a couple of days to accept the intruder.
