Heartfelt Thanks

Gable Green and Pretty in Pink are such light colors that they're kind of hard to see in the scan.  I used the Watercolor Paper and stamped the outline part of the flowers with black Stazon ink.  On the solid part of the flower I colored directly on the stamp with the Watercolor Crayons (they are so cool!).  Then I spritzed the stamp with a little water and stamped it over the outline image.  It turns out so neat.  On the right edge I punched out a bunch of one inch circles, glued them to the inside edge and then punched a hole in each circle.  

Justus and Reia

Justus wanted me to share the picture of him and one of his favorite pets!  He thinks she's way cool!  His mom isn't a huge fan though!

Lovely As a Tree

On this card I stamped the row of trees in Stazon Brown and then used the Aqua Painter to color with the Old Olive pad.  If you press down on the top of your ink pad before you open it it will put color on the inside top of your pad and you can use the Aqua Painter to pick up that color.  After I colored the trees I cut them into 3 sections and layered them on Creamy Carmel card stock.  I used dimensionals on the center tree to make it stand out a little bit.   I used the piercing tool to 'highlight' the top corners of the Old Olive card stock.  The colored brads are Old Olive from the Earth Elements pack and the ribbon is Very Vanilla 1/4 " grosgrain.  This is one of Stampin' Up!'s most popular sets.  It's been in the catalog for a long, long time.

Think Happy Thoughts

This card uses the background stamp Sanded.  It's definitely a favorite of mine!  The flowers in the center are punched out of Pale Plum and Elegant Eggplant card stock with the 5-Petal Punch.  I sanded off the top of a Mellow moss button and rubbed it in the Sage Shadow pad and also ran the Mellow Moss Taffeta ribbon through the Sage Shadow ink pad.  I'm not sure why I didn't just use Mellow Moss in the first place.  I guess I was experimenting.  I stamped the happy birthday stamp on Sage Shadow card stock and then punched it out with the Round Tab punch.  The Eggplant flower is cut out by hand.

Wonderful You

Not much to this card.  Just simple and elegant.  The leaf is stamped in Blush Blossom ink on Blush Blossom card stock.  I've used the paper piercing tool to make the holes down the side of the card.  I love how the wide grosgrain ribbon looks on cards.  It's a nice touch!

Wow Flowers

This card wouldn't scan quite right and I'm not sure why.  It cut off the top, bottom and sides, UGH!  But, I guess you can kind of get the picture.  The colors are Almost Amethyst and Rose Romance.  It's hard to see, but I stamped the flower in Amethyst on the white card stock and on the Amethyst card stock I stamped the flower in White Craft.  The Rhinestone Brad is light purple.  In person the card is MUCH cuter!

Nursery Necessities

I never get tired of the 'teared edge' look.  I first stamped the star from this set on So Saffron and Baja Breeze paper and then tore the edge of one side and layered them.  I also really like the distressed look which is what I did on the white paper around the elephant.  Lots of ribbon makes me happy too.  I used Apricot Appeal ribbon, even though it doesn't match perfectly, and White grosgrain ribbon.

Think Happy Thoughts

I'm loving the new Scallop Punch!  I used a lot of punches on this card including: horizontal slot, 3/16th corner rounder, 1-1/4th circle, 1-3/8th circle, and of course the scallop punch.  I don't know what I'd do without my punches!  There are a lot of new punches in the Fall/Winter catalog that I MUST purchase.  The flower has Dazzling Diamonds glitter on it, but it's a little hard to see in the scan.  The 'celebrate' greeting is from the Wonderful Words set.

Wanted

This is a great set to have on hand for those guys in your life.  The technique I used on this card is way cool.  I used glossy paper and stamped the paisley and other design first with Really Rust and Garden Green.  When that was dry I stamped the horse with Versamark and then embossed it with clear powder.  After the embossing had cooled I used my brayer in Creamy Caramel and rolled it over the top of the glossy card stock.  The embossing resists the ink.  I used a tissue to lightly rub the ink off of the horse.  Cool, huh!?!  If you don't like to use ribbon on your guy cards you can use thin strips of paper to add that extra touch.  That's what I did on this card.  The paper piercing also adds a nice touch - I used a punch two, skip one pattern.

I love how the colors turned out together on this card!  I used the new Pink Pirouette and Kiwi Kiss and then added the Bravo Burgundy.  It's a little bit hard to see the flower, but I stamped it first in Versamark and then in the Pink Pirouette Pad and then used clear embossing powder and heated it.  It gives it a nice glossy look.  I did the same with the Wish Big greeting, only with the Kiwi ink pad.  The Kiwi polka dot paper is from the Bella Rose pattern paper.  I'm loving the new In Colors and new designer series papers in the catalog!  What a great variety.

Doodle This

I wanted to make a card for my mom's birthday and I ended up with this!  It is similar to what the gift bag looked like and I thought it was so darn cute it needed a matching card.  I used the coluzzle to cut out the bigger bashful blue circles and for the smaller circles I used the 1" circle punch.  The big flower was stamped with the Pixie Pink ink pad and I used the white gel pen to accent the dots.  I love how the Striped Bashful Blue ribbon looks on this card!  The greeting is from the short and sweet set.  I stamped it in the white craft pad on the Pixie Pink paper and punched it out with the small oval punch.  And of course I attached it with dimensionals.  Love the color combo!

Bugs and Kisses

I like to have a few boy birthday cards on hand, so I chose the Bugs and Kisses set and used  Only Orange and Not Quite Navy paper.  Very Simple!  I just stamped the dragonfly in Not Quite Navy and colored in the wings with the Only Orange marker.   The Whimsy jumbo wheel turned out to be perfect to add in the top right corner.

Wonderful You

I really like the Wonderful You set.  I colored the flower with Lavender Lace and So Saffron Markers and then used the Aqua Painter to 'wash out' the center of the petals.  Then I used the two-way glue pen to put Dazzling Diamonds glitter on the flower center.  The wide ribbon finished off the card!
