Tori's NEW Room!

Tori came home to a new room today after school.  She wasn't as excited as myself and Grandma thought she would be, but she claims she was in shock.  Grandma spent many hours making her this beautiful quilt (THANKS GRANDMA!) and spent the day helping me hang cute things in Tori's room.  Sadly it has taken many YEARS to get her room finished.  Tomorrow is her 13th Birthday so we thought this would be the perfect time to make Tori's room a ROOM!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCESS TORI!!!

Thank You Kindly

Mellow Moss, Ruby Red, Cameo Coral, Barely Banana and Close to Cocoa are all colors that will be going away with the arrival of the new catalog in July.  If they're colors you'll miss, you have plenty of time to stock up on them.  I ran each color of paper through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions folder and then used the cute Butterfly Punch.  The pearls are from the Pretties Kit.

FHE at the PIT!

Jake built us a quick fire pit tonight out of an old diesel rim. We'll do a little more with it later - make it more safe and all.  The kids love it of course and Jasper (the dog) is just happy that we're in the backyard with him.  It got a little cold for me at the end, so I had to come in, but the kids are sticking it out.  They're excited for summer!

Thankful Thinking

Stampin' Up! is doing what they call a Color Renovation.  They are getting rid of some colors that never get ordered and bringing back some past In Colors and also adding some new colors.  They let us know ahead of time so that we can stock up on any colors that we might miss.  If you want more info. on this let me know.  Almost Amethyst and Orchid Opulence are two of the 30 colors that will be going bye-bye!  I'll miss some of the colors of course, but I'm glad we're getting back some of the In Colors I've missed!

Easter at our House!

Adri got a Webkins Chicken smashed in an egg.  She also got way to many treats, a yo-yo, a kite, a toothbush and a cool blue shirt!

Justus' favorite item was a new knife.  He needs a new knife like he needs a hole in the head, but he's become a collector.  Fun, I know! :)  He also really like his yo-yo and candy.

Tori had a hard time staying awake for Easter baskets.  But she liked her new purple shirt and little lamby Webkins.  She ate half her treats before breakfast!  She'll need that new toothbrush!

Now they're almost awake and happy even though it snowed in the night!  SO WRONG!!!  I guess there will be no flying of kites today.  I wonder if their grandma's will hide eggs in the snow!  Today will be a fun filled day with Conference to watch and two family parties.

Upsy Daisy & Perfect Detail Texture Plate

Polka dots and flowers remind me of Easter time.  I love, love how this card turned out.  I started out by embossing the flowers with Iridescent Ice on Whisper White card stock.  Then I used a sponge and rubbed Pumpkin Pie ink over and around the flowers.  After I used the back of the sponge to wipe off the ink from the flowers.  I've done this before with Clear embossing powder, but I like the sparkle that the Iridescent Ice gives.  I'm always looking for new ways to use ribbon on cards and this ribbon turned out pretty cute.  Once again the Big Shot added some nice texture to the background.  Hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend!
